HOME SOLUTIONS:
Home cleaning, compound maintenance (lawns and hedges) waste collection and evacuation. Done in three packages of waste bag, waste bin and complete service (cleaning, sweeping)

Urban Solutions provides diagnostic and analytical expertise to develop waste management strategies for industries. This is done

Renew products
Briquettes - Urbane solutions is currently testing a new briqutte formular to be released in the market by December.
Plastics - the company is in the process of acquiring a waste plastics crushing and moulding machine to be able to make products from the waste.
Research Projects
Urbane Solutions is currently working on two research projects
a. The dynamics of waste in Kisumu with a focuss on the actors in the waste sector, their roles vis a vis the regulatory environment. This is aimed at supporting the city to effectively provide the enabling environment for a vibrant waste sector.
b. Potential of municipal waste in energy provision: urbane solutions is working the various options for converting the largely organic waste into charcoal. This is aimed at reducing the cost of running the waste services in the city.
Consultancy Projects
Urbane solutions is taking the lead in the development of the Kisumu county wide cleanup initiative on a pro bono basis.
The company has developed training program for supporting new county structures to be launched soon.

US has initiated a host of social initiatives ...
1. Green clean neighborhood initiative: in partnership with the urban authorities, the campain aims at inspiring the individual neighbohoods to take action towards ensuring their neighborhoods are clean by igniting the spirit of competition between neighborhoods and cities. The campaign also ropes in youths through sports and drama for the same.
2. US also supports disadvantaged girls in the rural areas to access opportunities to better their chances of making it in life. We support this through the Golden Girls Foundation.
